The Macrobertson Shield competition is named after the Australian confectionery maker and philanthropist, Sir Macpherson Robertson in the early 1920s. Initially between Australia and England, New Zealand was invited in 1930 and USA in 1993.
New Zealand won all three tests to take to shield.
